GCC is the one of the best colleges I have seen in India. The first time I joined GCC I did not know much about the college but i was attracted mostly by the service rendered by the staff here. I was joining from another college and after visiting different colleges in Bangalore, I realized that there is no other college in Bangalore I can study peacefully than GCC.
At the gate the security personnel’s spoke very gently and guided me where to go. Looking around GCC, I was attracted by the infrastructure; different blocks surrounded by the flowers, beautiful gardens in front of each department and the coconut trees that spread a fresh environment everywhere in GCC. Wherever I stepped that day I had a good feeling out of the environment of the college which is very attractive and really beautiful. But I still did not know about the teachers in class, my classmates and the staff here.

A visit to the UNITED BREWERIES AND DISTILLERIES LIMITED (UBDL) was organized for the 2nd and 4th semester M.Sc. students by the Department of Microbiology, Garden City College accompanied by Prof.Syed Azhar Ahmed, HOD & Mrs.Usha Rani K.A on the 19th of April, 2012. The group consisted of 36 students and 2 faculty members. They were received with great hospitality and were guided by Mr. Praveen, who took the students through the various units of the industry and very efficiently explained the nature of work happening at each level. The students got to see the practicality of the subject, INDUSTRIAL MICROBIOLOGY. They saw the technology involved in making beer.

A visit to the coca-cola company was organised for the IV semester M.Sc students by the department of microbiology on the 22nd of March 2012. The group consisted of 30 students and 2 faculty members. They were received with great hospitality and were guided by Mr.Venugopal (In-charge production line),who took the students through the various units of the industry and very efficiently explained the nature of work happening at each level. The students got to see the practicality of the subject, Industrial microbiology. They saw the technology involved in making coca-cola products.

Deepika is a one of the oldest news papers published in India. It was started in 1887 and today it is the oldest Malayalam newspaper in circulation. Deepika publishes its editions from different places like Kottayam, Kochi, Kannur, Trissur, Tiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode. In August 1989 Deepika and its entire sister publications came under the ownership of Rashtra Deepika Limited which is a Public Limited Company. The present Managing Director of RashtraDeepika Limited is Mr. PP Sunny and the Chief Editor is Rev. Fr. Alexander Paikada, CMI.
